Good morning, Mademoiselle Veronique!
Please pass this on…. this seems a somewhat awkward and insufficient means to tell you all how very much I enjoyed my visit to the 2015 CIPA EVVY Book Awards Banquet this past Sunday night.
My novel, SNOW MEN, was awarded First Place in the FICTION – Action/Adventure genre and I was thrilled! I launched into a low earth orbit and advised HOUSTON that I would be coming down sometime soon and somewhere near the Rocky Mountains!!!
During my brief comments, I tried to say thanks to you all for the contest and the event, as well as to the Indie Publishers who enable us to see our work in print. But I want to say more.
At the front of his book, “On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft“, Stephen King has two quotes (epigraphs).
The first quote is: “HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY.”
The second quote is: “LIARS PROSPER.” !!!
Funny? Yes. True? Sometimes. Please know that what I will remember most (after my FIRST PLACE Award!!) is how open, objective, honest, and filled with integrity your CIPA EVVY Awards process seemed to be. And for that, I wanted to say more.
Thank you ever so much! “I wish you the very best of all good things.” (Summer of ’42)
Best,
Andrew “Andy” Ceroni

Hello CIPA EVVY Finalists!
First, congratulations on making it this far in the competition. Some of the category were literally hundredths of a point different.
I am personally inviting you to attend the 21st annual CIPA EVVY banquet. Ticket sales close on Wednesday, August 19, so we can get a head count to the caterers.
All finalists will receive an award—so if you’re named, you are going to be going to the stage at some point in the evening!
The menu this year is a wonderful island theme, fresh summer repast. If you’re vegetarian, no worries! Part of the menu is black beans and rice with a really fabulous zucchini casserole! If you’re restricted to gluten free (like I am), then you’ll be able to eat all but the dinner rolls. Serendipity is one of Denver’s premier catering companies and was voted Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Green Business of the year. You can view the menu—and the finalists—here:
The event is being held at the Space Gallery, 4th and Santa Fe. There is plenty of street parking, and it is a lovely venue. There is an outside patio. The inside is spacious and cool. Here’s a link so you can see what it looks like:http://spacegallery.org/events/.
Ticket price: $60 per person. Premium beer and wine is complementary as are non alcoholic drinks.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the banquet!!!
Best,
Patricia

Payment must be received by March 21, 2013, but there is still time to mail your book. No need to over-night the books. If you send the books using regular mail, that would be fine.
